This work was created as a commissioned portal, formed through direct connection with the soul of the person it was meant for. While creating it, I entered a space that felt ceremonial. I could sense what needed to crack, loosen, and dissolve in order for transformation to occur. The process moved like a quiet rite — guided, precise, and beyond conscious intention. When the piece was complete, its movement did not stop. It felt as though he passed through it, as if the portal continued its work beyond the canvas. In the time that followed, profound shifts unfolded in his life, echoing what had already been set in motion during the creation. These pieces always return me to humility. They remind me that art can act as ritual, that creation listens to the soul it serves, and that transformation begins long before it is visible.
