Thórdís & the golden heart

Inspired by the generous heart and healing gifts of one of my closest friends, this piece unfolded over the course of more than a year. Through long periods of contemplation, it continued to evolve and shapeshift, revealing itself layer by layer. This artwork marked a turning point in my creative journey. It was the first piece that initiated an upgrade in my work — in the way layers carry light, remain alive, and communicate with one another. What began as an exploration gradually became the very core of my practice. She holds a special place in my life, and naturally, this piece became a special one too — both personally and creatively. It carries devotion, trust, and deep listening, shaped by time rather than force.
