A Living Ode to the Forest For animal lovers and collectors seeking something deeply expressive, this piece is alive with story, emotion, and presence. Its imperfect, raw textures make it unique, and its price reflects its authenticity rather than technical perfection—what it offers instead is soul, life, and narrative. The Story Behind It Last year, I was in France, surrounded by the forest and its creatures. It is also the season when hunters are allowed into their sacred space—a time written into human calendars, yet devastating for those who call the forest home. Every encounter with these beings filled me with awe and tears: beauty intertwined with sadness, for their instinct carries the memory of danger. I painted this piece both to honor and as subtle protection—an ode to their lives, their struggles, and their resilience. One of the layers refused to dry fully, and over months, the painting itself began to express, to breathe. When I returned to France, I discovered it had “cried”: some animals appeared slightly altered, as if narrating their experiences—loss, fear, flight, and longing. It is as if they are whispering: “Don’t you see me? Don’t you feel me?” Owning this work is owning a living, emotive connection to the forest and its inhabitants—a piece that moves, breathes, and carries the story of the wild into your space
