Whisper of the river

This piece came to me while I was dancing and singing with the river behind my house. It arrived through the body first — through breath, movement, and sound — as if the river itself was showing me how it wished to be remembered. Whisper of the River carries the living frequency of water: the way it receives light and returns it as color. The surface moves through soft, glowing shades, unfolding like a quiet rainbow. As light enters the piece, it shifts and refracts, echoing the constant motion of the river. At the center rests a small fish bone I found in nature, its form resembling a tiny dragon’s skull — a delicate guardian, holding both fragility and ancient strength. Around it, stones gathered during walks along the fjord are placed in gentle geometric alignment, where lines meet in symmetry, grounding the fluid into form. This work is a listening. A ceremony of presence. It holds the prayer of water, light, and land moving together — and invites the one who meets it to slow down, soften, and remember how to flow.
